From stuffed shells and spaghetti and meatballs to fettuccine Alfredo and potato gnocchi, there are countless pasta recipes that feature the time-honored staple as the main ingredient. Whatever the type, pasta is traditionally made from just a few ingredients, including wheat, water, and sometimes eggs, and then fashioned into various shapes before being cooked in boiling water.
